It is now September, and it is in unwelcome melancholy that we recall our summer: it was brief and it is gone.

The ever-beautiful unfading melodies will not make the autumn sun warmer, but are sure to remind of matters spiritual, over which no calendar has any power. The organ, king of musical instruments, this time has invited the flute to clear the skies of our soul. Bach’s wisdom, Mozart’s radiant cheerfulness, Mendelssohn’s lyricism and the old masters’ infinite elegance – what more do we need to put ourselves into a great mood?
