Sometimes a perfect song comes to a composer, and he cannot find lyrics to match it. Or perhaps poets write lyrics, but the music is so expressive that no text is able to contribute anything to it. Maybe there exist melodies that don’t need lyrics, so that the imagination of the audience could remain free… Thus songs without words appear, and any listener plunging into the world of sound discovers his own gem. For such songs there are singers capable of speaking the language of music only. For instance, the oboe. Tonight it will sing songs without words by romantic composers, with organ accompaniment.
