Johann Sebastian Bach’s Mass in B Minor is one of the most majestic musical monuments in the history of mankind. This work of art is as vast as the world and as deep as the sea, but at the same time as transparent as the blue sky. It makes us plunge into it and leaves a long serene aftertaste. This Mass is rarely performed in whole because of its huge size. Numerous amazing fragments of the massive composition are presented in this concert by the Yaroslavia Philharmonic Choir, with organ accompaniment and a slideshow of paintings by European artists from Early Middle Ages to the Baroque period.
