The first performance in Russia!

The concert featured:

Laureate of international competitions
Mari Fukumoto (organ, Japan)

Programme: J.S. Bach, G. Böhm, F. Mendelssohn, J. Brahms, M. Reger, Shiori Usui

The highest quality, refinement, exotism. Guess what it is all about. Of course it is Japan! And if you add Bach’s organ music, you will have an ikebana that will leave no one indifferent. Besides Bach, the visitors of the Catholic Cathedral on Malaya Gruzinskaya street  will listen to the music by Böhm, Mendelssohn, Brahms and Reger. The stylish and at the same time philosophic music by Shiori Usui, our contemporary, a Japanese composer living in Scotland, is a special bonus. The organist is also from the Country of the Rising Sun. Mari Fukumoto is well known not only for her successful works in the field of classic music, she also participates in jazz projects which is a rather rare phenomenon in the organ world.
