Hearing the expression “musical dynasty” we immediately think of Bach, especially if we are talking about organ music. But Russia too has organ dynasties, let us mention Alexander and Vikenty Maykapars, excellent musicians. The father and the son have found their own unparalleled format of performance: concert as a conversation or even excursion through various branches of art. This time we are going to reflect upon subtle relations between music and painting. The event promises an interesting discourse and an absolutely splendid soundtrack, just think of Tomaso Albinoni’s “Adagio”! By the way, rumours say that it wasn’t written by Albinoni. But at least the pieces by J.S. Bach and J. Brahms are authentic for sure!
