Duduk is an extraordinary instrument, it belongs to Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, according to UNESCO. Thus any concert featuring the duduk is a unique event. What do we perceive in its voice? A remote roar of ancient times or the gentle soul of an apricot tree used for making the duduk in Armenia, by tradition?
However the unusual duduk is a very friendly instrument, it perfectly fits in with various musical styles. This concert is a splendid example of artistic collaboration. The East-West Trio (duduk, voice and organ) presents a wide range of style mix: exclusive arrangements of sacred, secular and folk masterpieces.
