Programme: Inauguration ceremony. Improvisations on the themes of Chirstmas songs and hymns
The Catholic Cathedral of Moscow invites you to the “coronation” of a new King of musical instruments!
An inauguration of a new organ is always a great celebration. This world-wide “royal” tradition is centuries old. Acquisition of a new musical instrument is a solemn event nowadays as well. In the presence of celebrities and VIPs, in the Malaya Gruzinskaya street Cathedral, on December 15, a new unique instrument, an Allen organ, will receive its “musical crown”.
A famous French organist and improvisor Jean-Philippe Le Trévou is going to demonstrate the potential of this versatile organ presenting a recital of his improvisations on Christmas hymns and on the music of New Year’s films. The title of the program is “Christmas fantasy”.
The new Allen will be “coronated” at a solemn ceremony. Our guests of honour are representatives of Embassies and Consulates General of various countries and celebrities of the artistic world.
The Allen organ of the “De Boni Arte” Foundation is a perfect novelty for Russia: its capacities strike our immagination, as modern technologies should do. It is big but portable and capable of exact reproduction of the sound of an orchestra, and what’s more, of the voices of the surrounding world! The Allen is not a kind of “king” who will stay in his palace giving audiences. This instrument will travel, he himself will “come” to his listeners.

Coronation of a new "King of musical instruments"
Inauguraion of a new “King of musical instruments”, an Allen organ. A unique ceremony
The organ builders of the US Allen company are convinced that character and quality have a lot in common. Indeed the qulity of an organ depends on the perfection of its inner parts visible to noone. As the team of the Allen company put it, quality is their character trait. No doubt the new universal Allen organ possesses a particular character. Perfect details and a special combination of keys guarantee a splendid sound. We listened to: Organ
