Address: 27/13 Malaya Gruzinskaya Street

Концерт состоялся 7 September 2018 года

Cathedral's Eve, Evening by Candlelight

Organ, soprano, countertenor

The concert features:

Andrey Nemzer (countertenor)
Maria Moiseeva (organ)
Svetlana Polyanskaya (soprano)

Programme: J. S. Bach, A. Piazzolla, A. Viskov, M. Reuterstein, A. Shmitov, E. Tamar, V. Kemnits

This very curious and unconventional programme helps to feel the continuity of traditions. It features Bach and sacred music of our time (late 20th and early 21st century). As we listen to Bach, it seems all the music has already been written and it is impossible to create anything more perfect. But our contemporaries’ efforts are also indispensible, since no one is able to express the unique live spirit of our age better than them. Thus we have Bach, Piazzolla and the best of contemporary Russia’s sacred music.
