Концерт состоялся 5 November 2017 года

Series: Cathedral's Eve

Where can a composer find inspiration? What served as a source of inspiration for Antonio Vivaldi who was ordained a priest in his youth but for health reasons celebrated Mass only for a brief period of time? But why should we look for a rational explanation to the story of a composer who created plenty of splendid music? A sensitive soul cannot help watching the picturesque changes that occur in nature as seasons change. Composers of all times try to express their attitude towards the alteration of seasons, so different from year to year. Vivaldi’s 4 violin concertos bear the name of the four seasons and are traditionally performed one after another. The melodies of  1723 are still fresh and up-to-date, no wonder they can be heard not only in concert venues. The truly popular composition is presented in the Catholic Cathedral of Moscow by the famous conductor Vladimir Ryzhaev.
