J. Haydn’s magnificent work The Seven Last Words of Our Saviour on the Cross (German: Die sieben letzten Worte unseres Erlösers am Kreuze) for a string quartet is accompanied by a poetic and informative text by Russian author Vlas Doroshevich who made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in the late 19th century. The text is read by People’s Artist of Russia Valery Barinov. In addition to the music and text we are going to watch pictures of the places where the story of the Gospel is set. J. S.
